15-6-2011, the House of Wisdom Institute organized a seminar entitled “the Social Media and its impact on the American Public opinion”,
the Instructors of the Seminar was two American writers Mr. William Quandt and Mrs. Helena Cobban.
The Institute hosted the two writers and organized the Seminar.
The Institute invited it members from both the Diplomacy Club and the House of Wisdom Youth Advocacy to attend and participate in the Seminar. At the beginning of the Seminar, the Institute welcomed and introduced the guests.
Mrs. Cobban spoke on the role of the Social Media in changing the stereotypes and giving the true perspectives on certain issues instead of the main stream media which always maneuvering from the Israeli perspective.
From his side, Mr. Quandt spoke about the history of the American Policy in regard to the Palestinian Israeli conflict, noting that He was actively involved in the negotiations that led to the Camp David Accords and the Egyptian-Israeli Peace Treaty. Mr. Quandt spoke also on the Jewish lobby impact on the American policy makers.
