On 27th, Sep . 2019, the youth incubater held its meeting , with the partcipation of the expert in islamic movements, Mr. Ibrahim Abu Saada, and in the presence of the head of House of Wisdom institute , Dr. Ahmed Yousef, and the Director General of the Institute Eng. Mahmoud Al-Madhoun.

During the meeting, Abu Saada deliverd a detailed presentation on the relationship of Salafist movements with the Islamic resistance movements, explaining that there are three trends of Salafist movements in the Gaza Strip: the first of which is the disruption of the resistance, which was divided into two parts: dawa, and jihadism. The second is the tendency to postpone resistance in one of the time periods, and the last to accelerate resistance as it is necessary.

Moreover, He explained the most important mechanisms for dealing with Salafism in the Gaza Strip which were containing the movement, separating religion from the public sphere, and also promoting the role of pluralism in society in a harmonious manner.

In the same context, Ahmed Dalloul, a researcher in islamic movements, explained that the Islamic religion focused on the different aspects of human life such as ethics, transactions, worships and social issues, yet it didn’t provide much details on politics and policy. Plus, it gave people a big space for diligence, but  it did not specify the shape of the political system.

For his part, Mohammed Jarboua,  the president of the executive council  to the incubator, said that the meeting was fruitful, where the expert touched on an important point, which was the need for the presence of young intellectuals and independents, because of the lack of this category in the current period significantly.

The debate on “family institution” as a fundamental building point in society was the most important thing that all lecturers agreed with, as other community institutions, including mosques, were complementary roles for the family and not substitute for them.

Ibrahim al-Hajj Ahmed, secretary general of the Incubator Council, said that HOW Institute attracts the best trainers to present their ideas and experiences and discuss them with the trainees. Adding that this meeting was very special, since young people really needed it.

Al-Hajj Ahmed explained that he learned from this meeting important things and new facts shown with evidence, which had expanded their perceptions and horizons.

For his part, Ahmed Dalloul, the Incubator Supervisor, pointed out that the last meeting corrected many misconceptions or ambiguities among the trainees, enhanced the skills of critical thinking, and was strange for the lecturer addressed topics contrary to many of the trainees’ ideas seen as axioms that do not accept arguments. Therefore, the trainees expressed their great satisfaction after the meeting, pointing out that the meeting enlightened their thinking.
