Tuesday 17-08-2010, The House Of Wisdom Institute hosted The Indonesian Independency day ceremony which was coordinated by the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee and Mr. Abdillah Onim – MER-C Representative in Gaza Strip.
The ceremony started with reading the Holy Qura’an followed by Indonesian and Palestinian anthems. After that Mr. Ekhwan read the statement of Declaration.
Many of Indonesian civilians in Gaza attended the ceremony along with representatives from the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Onim grants symbolic souvenirs to the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign affairs and the Institute. After that the attendees went to have Iftar (Dinner) at the Light House restaurant.
