22-10-2015, The House of Wisdom Institute – HOW received a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross – ICRC led by Mr. SOW Mamadou, Head of Sub Delegation to ICRC in Gaza Strip.
Accompained by Mr. Ofteringer Ronald, Advisor to the Director of Operations and Mr. El Akra Fayez, Communication Officer to Gaza Office.
The delegation was greeted by Dr. Yousuf Ahmed, chairman of the Board of Directors of HOW, Eng. Madhoun Mahmoud, General Secretary and a number of the staff.
Dr. Yousuf welcomed the delegates and praised the role of the ICRC and their services provided to the Palestinian people, especially who are living in the Gaza Strip.
Mr. SOW Mamadou thanked Dr. Yousuf and the staff of the House of Wisdom for their cooperation and permanent keenness to participate in events held by the ICRC in the Gaza Strip, especially with regard to youth activities.
Following the discussion, Mr. Ofteringer talked about the most important projects of the ICRC in Palestine and in the Gaza Strip, as well as the role the ICRC played during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip in the summer of 2014. Furthermore, Eng. Al Madhoun talked about the plans of the institute as well as about the projects they plan to implement, as well as discussed ways to strengthen the partnership between the two institutions in the future.
