Youth incubator organizes a training day on “On- Camera Presentation Skills”

On Oct. 23, the Youth Incubator held a training meeting to enhance on- camera presentation skills, within “Community Leadership” program.
Sami Mushtahi, the trainer, introduced the members to the technical standards and poses in addition to providing them with some exercises and guidance that help and enable them when appearing on media.
The trainer also explained communication skills and the body language that everyone needs while standing in front of the camera.
Mohammed Yassin, head of the Executive Board of the Incubator, pointed out that they urgently needed such training to deal with the visual media. He added that the trainees were more than happy with this training because the trainer presented everything practically. A short video was recorded for each member so they can fix any mistakes they did during and after the training.
Warda Radwan, a trainee, said that she was pleased with the new skills she got from this meeting , since it taught her how to be stable in front of the camera. Moreover, the meeting carried various topics, including political, social, psychological and economic ones. In addition, there was a well-done explanation on the body language topic and enriching videos.
Riba Al-Daqas, a trainee, explained that the training broke the ice that make the members afraid of standing in front of the camera. It helped her also in standing stable and comfortable in front of the camera, without being a afraid of doing something wrong..
Rola Nassar, a trainee, expressed the benefit she got from the practical skills when standing in front of the camera and dealing with it correctly. It also taught her the skills of psychoanalysis of body language and facial gestures used by some presidents during their interviews, such as the gestures President Yasser Arafat used during the signing of the Camp David Agreement at the White House with Clinton and Barak.
Huda Abu Hajir, a trainee, said that “on-camera presentation skills” meeting was one of the strongest meetings, since it addressed many topics such as body language, which was one of the most remarkable axes, that has an important role in delivering messages, especially with politicians and leaders. She added that she has learned new skills in this field, from knowing different methods to reduce stress in a press meeting or programs to standing in front of the camera with stability and right pause.
It is worth mentioning that all those who attended and participated the meeting benefited a lot. They all thanked House of Wisdom and the incubator for providing them with this important skills they need when they appear and participate in media, in various forums and activities..
