6-5-2014, the House of Wisdom Institute in cooperation with the Palestinian Reconciliation Committee organized a seminar entitled…
(Challenges & Recommendations for the coming the National Unity Government), the seminar was attended by public and academic figures. The Special Adviser for the Palestinian President Dr. Rawhee Fattouh was the guest of the seminar.
Dr. Ahmed Yousef – Head of HOW Board of Trustees – began the seminar by welcoming the guests and emphasizing the importance of achieving the national unity among Palestinians, while Dr. Rawhee Fattouh – Special Adviser for the Palestinian President – confirmed that the coming government will be neutral with limited agenda like preparing for elections and ending all effects of division and split.
The seminar lasted for 2 hours, and came out with the following recommendations:
1- The Government should be consisted from professional personalities whom are known in the Palestinian Society.
2- The National Unity Government should represent the value of unity in all its decisions.
3- Forming an Experts Committee which supports the government and presents recommendations.
4- The coming government should stabilize the Palestinian society far from any political disputes among parties until conducting elections.
5- The importance of reviewing all laws and regulations issued in the division period.
6- Reorganizing and Unifying the Palestinian security Apparatuses.
7- Ending the file of Political arrests and insure the public liberties.
Noting that this meeting is the first and will be followed by others meetings with officials in order to keep the Palestinian reconciliation on right track.
