6-3-2014, in continue of the efforts of the House of Wisdom Institute’s Youth team PYAN to enhance the Palestinian national reconciliation
which began through announcing a youth initiative for Palestinian reconciliation in last February. PYAN Team visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Gaza, Dr. Ghazi Hamad – Deputy Minister – received PYAN members whom presented their youth initiative to the Ministry. Dr. Ghazi welcomed and expressed appreciation of the efforts conducted by PYAN youths, and said he is ready to organize meetings for PYAN team with officials including the Prime Minister in order to discuss possibilities of achieving the reconciliation based on youths’ demands.
Dr. Hamad confirmed in his meeting with PYAN: “there is no justification neither for Hamas nor for Fateh to hinder reconciliation efforts”, he also referred delay of achieving reconciliation from Fateh and Hamas for two reasons, the first is represented by lack of trust and confidence from each movement, and the second is the need of a well-trusted mediator for both movements. Dr. Hamad – at the end of the meeting – promised to present all support for PYAN team to spread the reconciliation initiative.
In the same context, PYAN members visited “For Shabab Organization” office in Palestine to introduce PYAN Youth Initiative, Mr. Ashraf Abu Dayya Head of Palestine office received PYAN members and welcomed their efforts to achieve Palestinian reconciliation, Mr. Abu Dayya confirmed that members and affiliates of “For Shabab organization” will participate in PYAN activities that contribute to national awareness among youth.
Also, PYAN members visited the Press House – Palestine Office in Gaza, Mr. Bilal Jadallah – Head of Board of Directors – welcomed PYAN Youth initiative that calls for national reconciliation. Mr. Jadallah promised to present media coverage for PYAN team efforts to achieve reconciliation.
