of the House of Wisdom Institute HOW organized a seminar entitled “The Political Changes in the Arab region and its impact on the Palestinian cause – from a western perspective”.
Dr. Ahmed Yousef – head of board of trustees of HOW – began the discussion by welcoming the guests and spoke about the presence of Palestine in all the countries of the Arab Spring. From his side, Mr. Jeremy Greenstock said that the situation resulted from the Arab Spring is for the good of the Palestinian cause especially in Egypt, and that the Palestinians must seize the opportunity to end the Palestinian division.
Mr. Geremy said that the western governments are to some extent upset of the Netanyahu government in the light of its hindrances and obstacles against the Palestinian. On the Syrian situation Mr. Jeremy said that the Syrian political system is strong and supported by Russia and Iran and on the other side still the opposition is unable to unite under one front.
