the Center for Democracy & Community Development in Jerusalem, organized a Seminar entitled “The Arab Peace Initiative: between its Extinction & Staying”.

The first speaker of the seminar was Dr. Jamil Salama who spoke about the motives of the Saudi Kingdom to propose such initiative, and the main points mentioned in it which was the confirm on the UN resolution 242 and 338, while the Initiative excluded the resolution 194 speaking on the compensation and return of the Palestinian refugees, Dr. Jamil said.

In the second interposition, Mr. Mohammad Abu Sa’da spoke about the Israeli refusal position, and the inability of the Arabs to impose such initiative. Mr. Ali Abu Shahla raised the question whether it vanished or still alive, where some Arab leaders still mention it in their speeches as a reference to the Peace.

At the end of the seminar, some attendees gave their opinions in the Initiative, one of them said how it is useless to rethink about such Initiative which were ignored and refused from the very beginning from the Israeli government and society as well.
