Turkish Ambassador to Palestine met with Mr. Mustafa Sarnik as well as Turkish Embassy staff with participants in the Diplomatic Training Program
Which is being implemented by the house of wisdom Institute with funding from the French Charitable Society for the Support of Palestinians.
The Ambassador spoke on three main topics on Turkish foreign policy in the Middle East and the world, in addition to Turkey’s position on the events of the Arab Spring. He spoke on the third topic on the Palestinian-Turkish relations and the role of Turkey in supporting the Palestinian cause.
The Ambassador reviewed the most important Turkish policies and strategies in dealing with the international hot topics such as the Iranian nuclear file, the file of the Syrian crisis, the issue of Turkey’s accession to the European Union. Regarding the Arab Spring events, the Ambassador said that Turkey supports the freedom of peoples and their orientation towards democracy.
On the subject of Palestine, the ambassador talked about Turkey’s political and economic role in supporting the Palestinian cause. He said that Turkey was one of the first countries to recognize the Palestine Liberation Organization and support Palestine for its membership in the United Nations and international organizations. He also said that Turkey is committed to providing economic support to the Palestinians, Construction of the Palestinian-Turkish Friendship Hospital.
