24-8-2013, The Middle East Center for Studies (MECS) of the House of Wisdom Institute HOW executed a workshop entitled “The Future of the Islamists in Egypt”,
with the presence of Politicians and Academics as well as students of Political science; the aim of the workshop was to view the reflections of the Egyptian internal conflict on the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Adnan Abu Amer – speaker of the workshop – said that Israel in the only side getting benefit of ending the rule of the Islamists in Egypt, especially that Egypt under the rule of President Morsi has backed the Gaza Strip against the Israeli aggression in November 2012.
In the topic of the future of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, the Politician Akram Atallah said that the Muslim Brotherhood has various options and scenarios such as the Turkish, Tunisian, the Jordanian or the option of confrontation, Mr. Atallaah said it is difficult within the current circumstances to predict what will be the position of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt because of the international various interventions.
While Mr. Mohammad Abu Sada from the MECS spoke about the importance of Egypt in the region, and that its stability is the key of stabilizing the whole region, Mr. Abu Sada said that the Government in Gaza is in difficult moments because of what is going in Egypt, noting the importance of achieving the file of reconciliation and to deal with the regional changes with wisdom.
