On February 19, the House of Wisdom for Consultations & Conflict Resolutions (HOW), in cooperation with the Arab Cogito, organized a discussion seminar entitled: “Palestine after the Arab spring revolution – Political Perspectives”; the session took place in Gaza.

Among participants and speakers during the seminar, there were a number of political analysts, intellectuals and political leaders, including Dr. Bilal Yassin, Dr. Ahmed Hosny, Dr. Hossam Al-Dajani, Dr. Basem Naeim and others.

The participants stressed that the Palestinian cause was in the center of the peoples’ demands in the early 2011. They also agreed that armed conflicts in the Arab states made Jerusalem and the Palestinian cause as a margin and secondary cause.

The first session was managed by Mr. Ahmed Dalloul and discussed the prospects of new youth revolutions led by youths along with discussing its reflections on the Palestinian youth and reality. The second session was managed by Mr. Wael Al-Mabhouh which raised the question of how could the Palestinian cause returns to be on the top priority of the Arab agenda whether official level or public\people level, and what is needed from Palestinians to reclaim that Arab focus.

The session ended with comments by the participants whom they gave examples that Palestine was in the focus of the Arab revolutions, they gave an example from Tunisia which criminalize normalization with Israel according to its constitution. The participants also confirmed that Palestine will be always present in the minds of Arab youths, and it will be their top priority.
