Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan harshly criticized the Israeli government, saying that the “crime” committed against aid ships in international waters, is “despicable and unacceptable”, and it has to pay the price.
And demanded that Israel lift the non-humanitarian siege imposed on Gaza Strip as soon as possible, stressing the continuation of Turkey’s support for the Palestinian people and the people of Gaza and for peace in the Middle East.
He said that Turkey would not turn its back to the Palestinian people, and will not close its eyes, and move according to what fits Turkey and consist with its history.
Erdogan said that “the bloody genocide initiated by Israel violated international laws and is targeting the world peace, which is now suffering a serious injury”, and asked the United Nations not only for a decision of conviction, but also asked the international community to say enough of Israel.
He pointed out that the organizers moved the flotilla legally and indicated their intentions and destination in all frankness and clarity, and raised the white flag on ships.
He said that Israel can’t be considered in the face of the world if they did not apologize and be held accountable for what they did, and it does not excuse them on the blood that was shed. He also contended that who agrees on what Israel did, would be considered a partner in what happened.He showed his anger of the Israeli government lie about being under fire.
Also demanded that Israel immediately release all detained vessels and detainees and to deliver the wounded to get treatment in Turkey and not to slow down in that, as not to complicate things more. He warned against testing the patience of Turkey, warning that the enmity of his country is as strong as their friendship. He called on the Israeli people to pressure their government to stop its current practices.
The Turkish Prime Minister announced the abolition of three military exercises with Israel and a football game with Israel, calling on the Turkish ambassador from Tel Aviv, and to invite international and regional organizations to a meeting to discuss the crime.
