HOW organizes a training course for the military judiciary personnel

The House of Wisdom (HOW) organized a training course for the military justice personnel within the project “improving the capacities of the military justice personnel in Gaza” under the patronage of the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), and DCAF center for security, development and the rule of law, 26 judges and military prosecutors participated.

Eng. Mahmoud Madhoun, the secretary-general of HOW, clarified that the training course aims to develop the legal experience of personnel working in law and judicial sectors, which contribute to protecting the public rights of citizens, including access to justice, conducting fair trials, promoting law enforcement, and guaranteeing that authorities have non-arbitrariness in using their power, and not violating the law and human rights.

Col. Nasser Suliman, the head of the military judicial in Gaza, thanked HOW for its efforts in developing capacities and enhancing justice.

The training course is held over six days including: the nullity of judicial rulings, nullity of the prosecution procedures, investigation in cybercrimes, Prosecution mechanisms of international crimes in international criminal law.

The training course comes under the operational plan prepared by HOW, which aims to promote human rights in judicial, particularly the military judicial and military prosecution, which is responsible for prosecuting human rights abusers.
