October 13,2014 | House of Wisdom Institute has resumed training courses on a project for the Improving the Capacity of Palestinian Judges, which comes in under patronage ofthe Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in cooperation with the Supreme Judicial Council with participation of 30 Judges from different courts.
In the presence of Chancellor Abdel Raouf Al-Halabi – the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council the counselor Ziad Thabet Began the meeting, which is titled guarantees and rights of the accused in the Palestinian Code of Criminal Procedure in pre-trial stage.
Counselor Thabet spoke about the bodies entrusted with the enforcement of law and the role they play in collecting evidence and the tasks carried out by the judicial officer in the context of collecting evidence, tasks and matters relating to the crime scene. Then he moved to talk about the arrest of the accused and the things that must be considered during the arrest of the defendants in the inspection and investigation.
