House of Wisdom Institute concludes with a specialized training course for members of the military judiciary

27 December 2015, the Bayt Al-Hikma Institute for Consultation and Conflict Resolution, in cooperation with the Military Justice Commission, concluded a training course entitled “Causing Judicial Judgments” within the project of developing the capacities of the Palestinian Military Judiciary, with the participation of 30 judges and a prosecutor.

Dr. Ahmed Yousef, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bayt Al Hikma Institute, pointed to the role of the Institute in supporting and developing the capabilities of the military judiciary personnel from a scientific and practical perspective. He stressed that the Institute will continue to provide specialized courses that contribute to the refinement and development of the various skills of the staff, which will contribute to improving the performance of the judiciary.

For his part, praised the head of the military judiciary Colonel Col. Nasser Sulaiman on the efforts of the House of Wisdom, and expressed the wish of the military judiciary to continue this cooperation with the Institute in the preparation of specialized training courses aimed at raising the efficiency of military judges and their assistants.

The course included four main axes, divided into six sessions, with twenty-four hours of training. These included the following topics: the outcome of judicial decisions, the duties of the judges, the guarantees of the accused during the initial investigation stage, and the exclusion of evidence obtained illegally.

At the end of the course, the Institute honored the trainers participating in the course in addition to the distribution of certificates of participation for participants in the course.
